How our products are made

Stop the Chop Shop uses a print-on-demand production model. This means your item is produced especially for you after you place your order, rather than being mass-produced or stored in large quantities.

Most of our apparel is produced and fulfilled through our international print-on-demand clothing supplier. We may also use other carefully selected production partners for particular products, depending on the garment style, size, colour and availability.

Once an order is placed, the garment is prepared, printed with our design, checked and packaged before being shipped directly to you.

Producing garments only after they have been ordered helps us avoid holding unnecessary stock, reduce unsold inventory and operate responsibly as a small, cause-driven Australian business.

Where are your products manufactured and printed?

Stop The Chop Shop is proudly owned and operated right here in Adelaide, but our physical garments are manufactured, printed, and fulfilled overseas.

While we love and support Australian-made production, launching an independent, self-funded brand with 100% locally made apparel would dramatically drive up retail costs. It would also severely limit our ability to offer a wide range of colors, styles, and inclusive sizing for everyone in our community.

By utilizing trusted overseas production partners, we can keep our vintage-inspired apparel accessible, high-quality, and available in a full spectrum of sizes.

Our Local Goal:
We want to bring our production closer to home. If specific designs or collections prove popular, our long-term plan is to transition to local printing right here in Adelaide.

Please note: Unless a specific item is explicitly marked as "Australian Made" or "Printed in Australia" in the product description, you should assume it is fulfilled through our international partners.

Delivery timeframes

Because every product is made to order, please allow time for both production and delivery.

Production will generally take several working days before your order is dispatched. Delivery to Australia may then take approximately 1–2 weeks, depending on the product, shipping method, destination, customs processing and carrier conditions.

These timeframes are estimates rather than guarantees. Delays may occasionally occur because of customs clearance, severe weather, flight disruptions, public holidays or other circumstances outside our control.

Orders containing multiple products

Products in the same order may sometimes be produced by different fulfilment facilities or suppliers. This means that items may be packaged separately and arrive on different days.

You will not be charged additional shipping after your order has been placed simply because it is delivered in more than one parcel.
